About Lincoln Avenue

The Lincoln Avenue Church of God is affiliated with The Church of God (Anderson, IN). The congregation's humble beginning was on the Ohio River with the “Floating Bethel” Houseboat. Formal incorporation took place on Pittsburgh’s East Side in 1910.

Over the years, the congregation and the National Association of the Church of God bonded and formed a conduit for missionary endeavors, which produced many pastors and leaders in the church. Many of Lincoln Avenue's pastors were of national renown, giving leadership to the Kingdom’s charge. The congregation continues to be a witness for Jesus Christ and builds on the faithful service of the Saints in the “Church Triumphant”.  The seeds planted are yet bearing fruit.

We are so thankful that the Lord is true to His promise: “He who has begun a good work in you is faithful to complete it”

(Phil. 1:6). The congregation holds firmly to our belief that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that He is preparing us for His Return.
